A winter's tale

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm a bit jealous of all the snow the east coast is getting. We've had only a few major snowfalls this year. The snow that's left on the ground is hard, dirty, and not at all photogenic. Freshly fallen snow can be so magical, if you can manage to ignore the hours it takes to dig your car out, your frozen toes and fingers, and the traffic jams.

I'd be happy to send you some of our snow...we have plenty to spare.
I think we've got about 50 inches or so on the ground!

Love your photography...it's beautiful :)

we don't get any snow, any time, and the only time I get the tiniest twinge about that is when i see photos like this. gorgeous.

We hardly ever get snow, but by freak accident we got about seven inches today! It made for some fun photographs with some igloo building thrown in there too!

I just had the same feelings until yesterday. We hit a record in Texas with 11 inches of snow! And its the soft powdery kind.

Beautiful pictures !
I wish I could have seen some snow this winter, it's so magical.
It just doesn't do that here. It's already spring here with flowers blooming.

These are all beautiful. Fresh snow is a nice subject, but when you can't shut your car door...eek! Rhode Island has seen its share this year ;)

i'd have to say as beautiful as the snow was from the inside. it was not so sweet outside. so many car accidents because the plows piled up the snow too high on intersections.
the first big fall was pretty great, this second one was like a monster with winter lightning & thunder (ok, that was pretty cool).
i just hope we don't get a heat wave and it all melts :)

i've never been in snow like that before (coming from west australia) so i can't begin to comprehend even little bits of snow :)
love these pictures - the blurriness is wonderful :)
