Feeling woozy

I would notice, sometimes, that when standing in my hotel room or on terra firma, that it felt as though the ground were gently swaying and bobbing beneath me. I didn't know if it was a faint sense memory of being on the water earlier in the day, or if I was just drunk on Venice.

"You have to always be drunk. That's all there is to it - it's the only way. So as not to feel the horrible burden of time that breaks your back and bends you to the earth, you have to be continually drunk. But on what? Wine, poetry, or virtue, as you wish. But be drunk."
~ Charles Baudelaire

These photos are lovely. I've never been to Venice..do the houses really bob up and down?

I don't think they really do. It was more a feeling or sensation that I had.

It's beautiful!
I went to Venice in my honeymoon and I found it very inspiring.
Many people think is depressing, I just love it.
The pics are awesome!

I love your photos and I love this quote. Venice is quite intoxicating but equally so are the hills of Tuscany. :)

Hi, I've just discovered your photography via flickr and I have been really swept off my feet and blown away by the passion and art in your work. Amazing.

Baudelaire's "Never be Sober" is also one of my favourite poems so I have another reason to admire you and your work.

I look forward to seeing more of your work and perhaps owning a piece one day!
