Warszawa

The buildings in Warsaw's Old Town (Stare Miasto), are in fact no more than 67 years old. During World War II, 90% of Warsaw's buildings were destroyed or damaged. These were all lovingly rebuilt and restored after the war.

We happened to stumble onto a film set for the Polish movie AmbaSSada, directed by Juliusz Machulski:

Tynka and Folje: I can't believe how much Warsaw has changed in the past 12 years! My family lives in Poland, so I've been a number of times and my overwhelming memory of Warsaw was a perpetual greyness. But now there are so many lovely new buildings and the old grey Soviet blocks have been painted in bright colors. I'm amazed!
Linn: For these I used a combination of lenses: Canon 24-70 mm, Canon TS-E 45mm, and my iphone using the Hipstamtic app.
